We are continuing to recruit new talent to join our charity and are excited to begin recruiting five new team members to join the Education and Employers Taskforce. The newest roles we are recruiting for are five Schools Engagement Assistants to work with schools in areas across London and the south of England.
Following renewed funding from the Skills Funding Agency, Education and Employers will this year be responsible for helping young people to better understand apprenticeship opportunities in schools across London and the south of England. To ensure that all schools are provided with the information and resources they need to sufficiently inform their students about apprenticeships, we are now recruiting for five Schools Engagement Assistants.
This will involve working closely with school teachers and careers advisors, delivering in-school sessions to young people aged 15-18, working with employee volunteers through the Inspiring the Future programme and managing data and information. Inspiring the Future uses online technology which already engages over 6,000 schools and 31,000 volunteers registered across the country and has led to more than one million interactions between young people and employee volunteers since 2012.
We are seeking applicants for five posts situated across the south of England. Because of extensive travel requirements, applications are invited from people who are based in one of the five regions listed below:
- Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Swindon and Thames Valley
- Essex, Hertfordshire and the Local Economic Partnership area of New Anglia
- Cornwall, Dorset and the Local Economic Partnership areas of Heart of the South West and West of England
- Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex
