Research
Welcome to the Research pages of the Education and Employers
Taskforce website.
Over the last twelve months, we have worked to create a new
research culture, bringing together academics, analysts, policy
makers and practitioners for the first time to share learning and
work collaboratively to build the evidence base on what happens
when an employer supports education. Through publications, a groundbreaking
research conference and seminar
series and new research, we are determined to do more to truly
understand how employer involvement influences the educational
success and career progression of young people. By doing so,
we are making the case for employer engagement more compelling than
ever, moving it from a charitable good work to a business
necessity.
Our collection of research reports is growing all the
time: part of our remit is to bring under one roof the
extensive work already carried out by a huge variety of
organisations on the subject of employer engagement in education
and so to provide a comprehensive picture of the evidence-base for
engagement. Our report, What is to be gained through
partnership?, published on 15 October 2010, pulls together
high quality evidence about the benefits of education and employer
engagement to young people, schools and employers.
We distribute fortnightly research mailouts which list
forthcoming events, new publications and digital resources related
to research on employer engagement in education. If you would
like to be added to the Taskforce Research Mailgroup distribution
list please send an email to james.dawkins@educationandemployers.org
with 'TFRM Registration' in the subject line and your contact
details. Please click here to view a copy of
our research mail.
