Anne Evans

Anne Evans OBE
Chief Executive, HTI

Anne Evans has wide ranging experience of leadership and  management in the public, private and voluntary sectors. She has been a class teacher, subject specialist, Vice Principal and acting headteacher in inner city, urban and rural secondary schools. Anne has been a school governor for the past six years.

Following three years in the HR department of Ernst & Young, Anne joined HTI in 1996 as the Chief Executive. She has sat on a number of think tanks and task groups which have driven policy for leadership in UK education. She is a member of the national panel of judges for the Teaching Awards Trust and chairs the Midlands panel. She is a member of the editorial team for Professional Development Today and author of a regular leadership column in the weekly magazine 'SecEd'.

Anne was awarded an OBE in the Queens Birthday Honours list 2007, for her services to education, specifically at the interface between business leaders and school leaders.
