Head of Education & Skills, CBI
After leaving university James joined the CBI working on
employment policy. He was appointed head of public services
policy in 2006 taking responsibility for a campaign to promote
competition and choice in the provision of public services in the
UK. James moved to take responsibility for educational and
skills policy in May 2010 - seeking to influence government policy
and business practice which enables young people and the workforce
to develop the skills, knowledge and attitude needed to succeed in
today's workplace.
