Stephen Green
HSBC is a major publicly-listed banking and financial services
organisation. HSBC's international network comprises around 8,500
offices in 86 countries and territories.

Stephen Green was educated at Oxford and Massachusetts Institute
of Technology, and spent his early career with the British
Government's Ministry of Overseas Development and management
consultants' McKinsey & Co.
He joined HSBC in Hong Kong in 1982 with initial responsibility
for corporate planning, before being asked to develop the Group's
global treasury operations. He was appointed to HSBC's Board in
1998, becoming Group Chief Executive in June 2003 and Group
Chairman in May 2006.
Stephen has been Chairman of the British Bankers' Association
since November 2006 and is a member of the Prime Minister's
Business Council for Britain. He is also a trustee of The British
Museum, and an honorary trustee of Peking University.
Stephen resigned from the Taskforce Trustees in December 2010 on
becoming enobled and taking up the role of Minister of State for
Trade and Investment.
