London Conference on Employer Engagement in Education and Training: 21 and 22 July 2016

What difference does it make when employers work with education and training providers? How can employer engagement best be delivered?
This joint conference hosted by the Education and Employers Charity and the Edge Foundation, with support from the Department for Education (England), the Department for Business Innovation and Skills and Barclays Lifeskills, will present new research on employer engagement in education and technical pathways, and explore implications for policy and practice. The conference will share research insights from around the world.
The conference will take place on July 21 and 22 at the BIS conference centre in central London.
Confirmed conference contributors include a senior speaker from the Careers and Enterprise Company, James Calleja from CEDEFOP -European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, Department for Education, Anthony Mann and Elnaz T. Kashefpakdel from Education and Employers Research, Paul Comyn from the International Labor Organisation, the Inter-American Development Bank, IZA World of Labor, Adrian Lyons from Ofsted, Simon Field and Andreas Schleicher from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and Lesley Giles from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.
