Free toolkit to help schools with their careers provision
12 Oct 2017
A free toolkit for schools has been launched today by the charity Education and Employers. The toolkit is designed to help schools more easily to identify which students need additional support and to help prepare them for today’s workplace.
The new study by the research team at Education and Employers harnesses insights from UK academic studies to help careers professionals and other school teaching staff identify and prioritise pupils who require greater levels of careers provision as they approach key decision making points.
Comprised of a questionnaire and scoring system, the toolkit has been designed to be comprehensive and relevant to students at all attainment levels. Importantly, the study identifies attitudes and experiences (referred to as ‘indicators’) which schools can influence in order to better prepare their young people for adult working life.
How to use the toolkit in your school
We have explained in detail how schools can make use of this free and simple toolkit designed mainly for years 10 and 11.
