Review says definition of apprenticeship “stretched too far”

The Richard Review says the definition of apprenticeship has been “stretched too far” and needs to be rethought. An independent review of apprenticeships calls on the Government to improve quality and make them more focused on the needs of employers.

Doug Richard, founder of School for Startups, was asked by the Education Secretary Michael Gove and the Business Secretary Vince Cable to consider the future of apprenticeships in England.
