Speakers for Schools

Speakers for Schools is the sister charity of Inspiring the Future.

The founder of Speakers for Schools is Robert Peston, BBC Economics
Editor who approached the Education and Employers Charity in 2010 to help
him turn his initial idea into an operational programme. It was formally
launched in October 2011 and gives state schools and colleges in England,
Scotland and Wales access to more than 1000 eminent leaders in their fields
giving talks to school assemblies on the big topical issues of the day.

The Taskforce supported the programme’s transition into a new independent
charity in January 2013.
