Lisa joined the team in May 2021 and provides support to the Head of School Programmes in leading and developing projects to inspire primary-aged children by connecting them to a diverse range of volunteers from the world of work.
Lisa feels extremely privileged to have worked with children and young people in a variety of different roles in Bournemouth, London, and also internationally in Italy, Spain and Greece. Prior to joining the charity, she worked in primary schools for eight years across all key stages of learning.
As a primary school teacher, she was proud to be able to inspire the children in her care to reach their potential. Lisa saw first-hand the impact that positive role models could have on a child’s aspirations, and how making authentic links to learning could motivate children in core curriculum subjects. She is passionate to continue having a positive impact and inspiring a wider reach of children through the connections made with Inspiring the Future volunteers.
